Listen to NSFL President Danny Cavanagh’s interview on CBC Information Morning

April 14, 2025

In a CBC Radio Information Morning interview with Portia Clarke, I expressed concerns about removing trade barriers between provinces. While the government believes this will strengthen the economy, it may harm workers by weakening safety regulations, environmental protections, and potential job losses. Once again, we emphasize the need for a committee that includes workers’ voices to address these critical issues before making significant changes. Removing provincial trade barriers between provinces may sound good for the economy, but it could hurt workers and their rights. We need to ensure workers’ voices are heard!
