Support for PSAC workers, whose jobs are at risk!

January 28, 2025

The Nova Scotia Federation of Labour stands in solidarity with the 3,300 Federal PSAC workers whose jobs are at risk due to the recent decision by the Liberal government to cut positions. This decision comes at a time when there are an unprecedented number of pending immigration files that require attention. The cuts mean there will be 3,300 fewer people to handle these critical cases, affecting the lives of countless individuals relying on these services. We believe this to be a deplorable decision made at the worst possible time. We pledge our unwavering support to those affected by this decision, recognizing the personal and professional toll it will take. We will continue fighting for workers’ rights and providing essential services to those in need. We urge the government to reconsider this decision and prioritize its people’s needs above all else.
