Solidarity with striking IBEW Local 1928 workers

January 10, 2025

Nova Scotia Federation of Labour President Danny Cavanagh proudly joined the picket line on January 9th in Queens to stand in solidarity with striking IBEW municipal workers. During his visit, he presented the workers with a donation reinforcing the Federation’s unwavering support for their cause.

Also showing strong solidarity, was Jacob Wilson from the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades who joined the picket line and contributed a generous donation of his own. These gestures of unity and support underscore the collective strength of the labour movement as we stand together in the fight for fair treatment and justice. This is what solidarity looks like. Pictured is Cavanagh and Wilson with some strikers on the line.
