Paramedic Services Week is May 21 – 27

May 23, 2023

Paramedic Services Week is a special time to honour the hardworking and skilled paramedics who provide vital emergency medical care to the people of Nova Scotia. At the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour, we are proud to acknowledge the tireless efforts of these paramedics and their union, who work across the province to save lives. They are often the first responders in emergencies, providing necessary medical treatment and transportation to hospitals. They work relentlessly to ensure that individuals and families receive the medical care they require, even in challenging and stressful circumstances.

As we celebrate Paramedic Services Week 2023, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all paramedics for their invaluable contributions to our communities. We recognize the long hours, late nights, and intense pressure that come with being a paramedic, and we applaud you for your unwavering commitment to the well-being of others. We wish you a happy Paramedic Services Week and thank you again for your dedication and service to our communities. You are a vital part of our healthcare system, and we appreciate all you do. We acknowledge the commitment, resilience, compassion, diligence, and selflessness you bring to your job. We must continue to invest in our healthcare system to ensure that our paramedics and other healthcare professionals have the necessary resources and support to provide quality care to those in need.
