NSFL President Danny Cavanagh endorses NDP candidate Lisa Roberts for Halifax

As the President of the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour, I am proud to endorse Lisa Roberts for the NDP. Lisa embodies the values and vision workers need to thrive in today’s challenging economic landscape. Building a strong economy is not about giving tax cuts to wealthy corporations; it’s about investing in good unionized jobs that provide stability and fairness for workers. Lisa understands that when workers are paid well, the entire economy benefits.

She stands firmly for policies putting workers before profits. We need strong voices in Ottawa advocating for public services. Because of the NDP and its strong position in the past regarding workers’ issues like better pensions, Pharmacare, dental care, and public childcare, workers in Nova Scotia will have a strong voice at the table in Ottawa standing up for workers. Let’s stand together and support Lisa Roberts. She is the champion we need to fight for workers’ rights, build strong communities, and create a fair economy for all.
