National Nursing Week is May 8 to 16

May 8, 2023

National Nursing Week is a time to celebrate and appreciate the contributions of nurses in our communities. Nurses have been outstanding in their efforts, all while managing risks to their health and safety. As we observe National Nursing Week this year, we must recognize the immense contribution of nurses who consistently put their lives on the line to care for the sick and vulnerable. Their commitment, hard work, and resilience are awe-inspiring, and we owe them an enormous debt of gratitude. On behalf of the unionized workers of Nova Scotia, I want to thank all nursing professionals for their critical role in our healthcare system. Your sense of duty, courage, and dedication to caring for others inspire us all. You provide exceptional care, always putting patients first.

Let us use this National Nursing Week to recognize and thank all the nurses in our province and across the land for their incredible efforts and service. We salute you!
